The Human Hierarchical Ladder for Happiness

•  To be safe. To be loved.
•  To know we have enough good, clean, safe and food, water
& shelter for ourselves and our family.

•  The right, the freedom and the ability to go after these things.

• Challenge and the opportunity for accomplishment  •  Freedom to follow our hearts
•  Ability to do our share  •  Recognition for the work we do
•  To know we are working for good
(Choices we make for money that we know are wrong, haunt our souls.)
•  Connections to living things
•  Community  • Creativity  •  Spirituality  •  Peace

It seems silly to say it, but there sure are a lot of unhappy people in the world. Ever watch "The Real Housewives?" How about that Sadam Hussein? He really had it all, right?

We come into the world loved. That's why we live and overcome all odds, because in our infant hearts we know we're loved and connected. But if we don't have the love and support of our parents, we can feel extremely lost and struggle our whole lives looking for happiness. Parents do not have to remain together, but they do have to always love the child, or the child/adult will always have a broken heart.

This simple circle of life; from baby searching for love in their parents eyes, to children needing parents approval, to young adults needing the challenge of providing for themselves, and then the greater challenge of providing for others, and finally, reaching out only for loving eyes as we depart the earth again. These basic love connections is what our soul truly needs. The rest is just stuff.

We're meant to be happy. Actually, it's a personal responsibillity. Your people need you to be happy. We need happiness for optimum health. It's only choices we make, in fear or in pursuit of money, that keeps ourselves or others from happiness. Amassing wealth and stuff does not make us happy. We can have money and still be happy, if we make the money honestly and for the good of others. If we make it knowing the end result will hurt others we won't be happy no matter how rich we might be.

Oppression sucks, on every level. Don't do it.
