I grew up outside Brighton, CO spending most of my free time on a horse. When it was too late, I’d come in and work on art projects. This is still how I’d like to live my life although I’ve had to give up horses for chickens and a garden.

I graduated from Colorado State University in 1985 and began learning my craft the hard way, fighting for every opportunity. Strange, but nothing has really changed. It still seems to be a fight to work. I’d really like to change that. Go back to the days of apprenticeships and cooperation for a better outcome. There is no competition among small business. It is only large corporations that forced out small business for a few cents cheaper for their crap. 

I knocked myself out “for the trade” for a good 25 years and then with the economy crash and the decimation of small business, I had my heart broken and just couldn’t carry on. I retreated to the country to rebuild my soul. 

I have found solace and peace in Crestone and am reigniting my own fire, as I believe many around me are too.

As a graphic design and marketing professional for 38 years, I am accustomed to taking jobs from concept to completion. As a business owner I’m accountable and take responsibility for getting the job done right. I bring a broad range of skills including; strategy, branding, social media set-up and postings, SEO crafting (achieving first  page organic google results). Also photography, communications planning and execution, account management,  print and web design. I’m energetic, focused, organized, self-starting and creative.

Work History:

July - December 2022—Baca Grande Property Owners Association. A terrific opportunity to get to know my neighborhood and the people truly interested and involved in its future. It also reminded me of the work I am passionate about. So I quit to re-launch my graphic design business. 

2012 to present—Marketing Director for Art of the Land. Managing marketing strategy, updating website, creating graphics, blogs and other social media, writing search engine optimization and providing on-site photography and uploads as well as team education in social media. Implemented Google Analytics to analyze keyword traffic and strategize the blog development. Also, facebook and LinkedIn to expand email and blog reach. (www.artoftheland com). The owner retired the landscape business in 2020. I transformed her previous web and social media sites to support her new fine art business.

1997 to 2012—Owned and operated O Creative, a graphic design and advertising studio in Denver, Colorado.
